Since starting to research unemployment rates I have learned one thing: Research isn't always as easy as it seems!!
I did use some keywords to narrow my search and I found that Labor and Employment worked pretty well. Rates weren't too useful so I haven't used that keyword as much but I still have a lot of work to do.
I feel like there should be a lot on my topic and there probably is but I didn't find too many. I may just have to look harder. I found one source that cover unemployment since the 1890's. I looked at sources with different point of views. I found one that even focused on employment since 2007. I also am looking at different types of employment which include cyclical and structural employment. I want to find things about unemployment from all kinds of points of view because it's different for everybody.

What am I writing about!?
The time has come for me to pick a topic for my research paper this semester. I have thought about a variety of topics and finally have chosen to research employment rates and why they are such a roller coaster. I have chosen this topic because unemployment has really become an epidemic in the United States and I want to research why they increase and decrease every so often.
I have some very important questions about my topic:
1. Why are unemployment rates high?
2. Why are we still laying off people.
3. How can we keep unemployment rates steady.
4. How many new jobs do we have to make to eliminate unemployment.
5. Are there programs for people who are unemployed?
I am studying unemployment rates because I want to know why they aren't steady, in order to help my reader understand the unemployment epidemic in America.

Who am I?!
Hey there I'm Faustino Garcia and I am a freshmen here at WTAMU! I am 19 years old and I am from the small town of Earth, Texas! It is about an hour and a half from here. My birthday is September 9th. I'm not too sure I'm an expert in anything yet but I love to work with computers. I am usually always working with a computer! I love the new technology that comes out every so often! I usually nerd out about stuff like that but I am not a huge nerd at all! I have a couple of hobbies that range from listening to music to following my favorite celebrities! I also like to read! Listening to music is one of my hobbies because of the fact that I love listening to different kinds of music and discovering new music! I like following celebrities because it's so cool to see that they are exactly like us!! I also enjoy reading because it kind of takes me into a whole new world and allows me to get away from everything for a while. I enjoy taking different computer classes and I enjoy math as well. I pretty much like any class unless it is history! I am passionate about my education right now so I guess I am also passionate about the fact that I think everyone deserves the right to get an education and be educated even if it us up to the point of high school. I would like to learn more about literacy rates throughout the country cause I find it very important that everyone knows how to read and write! I hope this kind of gives you an idea about who I am! See ya soon!
